The Blues on the Bay Festival runs over five days and offers a variety of concerts and music workshops. The Bluesberry festival in the park offers a variety market with outdoor performances over the weekend, ideal for families, children and young people. However, we feel that there’s a need to cater for young people aged 12-17 and offer dedicated events that will appeal to that age group. We believe that it’s time to have a dedicated event(s) for young people 12-17 and see this as an opportunity to engage with young people in the area. A project led by young people, for young people, with the support of mentors, can be a real success.
